Bold headline: A glimmer of hope slips into Todd Grimshaw’s world after a brutal week of coercive control

Coronation Street spoilers (Digital Spy) reveal a new ray of hope for Todd amid his harrowing storyline. As Theo Silverton tightens his grip, the question emerges: has Todd reached a tipping point this time?
Last week, Todd’s grip on financial independence weakened further when Theo cut up his bank cards, leaving him financially reliant on his abuser. With only £10 to his name, he struggled to stretch every penny while Theo was away.
The trouble deepened upon Theo’s return from Doncaster, as he immediately criticized Todd’s eating habits and forced him into grueling workouts, all while belittling his appearance.
In tonight’s episode (February 13), Theo’s cruel words echo in Todd’s ears as he completes another long run. Exhausted, Todd finally collapses in the street.
Fortunately, colleagues George Shuttleworth and Christina Boyd discover him, catching him as he falls and bringing him to safety at the funeral home. While tending to his injuries, George voices concern about Todd’s heavy exercising.
Although Todd insists he’s fine, the truth emerges when Christina removes his trainers and reveals bruised, sore feet.
“I just need to soak them, that’s all,” Todd argues, but George urges him to take a break from running to avoid serious injury. Reluctantly, Todd agrees to ease off for a few days.
Todd’s chance of escaping the toxic dynamic was dashed last month with the death of his confidant, Billy Mayhew. Now, with George and Christina showing concern, will Todd open up to them about what he’s enduring, or will they uncover the situation on their own?
